About
A rose-colored tombstone hidden on a wooded hillside near Emory's Mathematics and Science Center, donated by millionaire Roger Babson — who hated gravity after it drowned his sister and grandson. Babson paid to erect tombstone-like monuments at colleges across America urging the defeat of gravity. The Gravity Research Foundation he founded in 1949 offered cash prizes for anti-gravity essays. This is one of the last surviving monuments.
