You'll assist in the mission of Urban Recipe - to partner with our members and supporters in creating food security, building community, and providing a platform for personal development while affirming dignity. Your role: You will help build 30+ pallets of food for distribution through our co-ops. You will be working as a team, filling pallets with boxes, organizing and helping check inventory and using a pallet jack. No previous training/certification is required. Tips: Thanks for signing up! A few reminders:
Wear: Close-toed shoes (sneakers or boots)! Please dress in clothes you don't mind moving in and are temperature appropriate. We are working in a warehouse and this is a requirement for participation.
Bring: Water! The warehouse gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
Directions: Please park in the gated lot next to the building (the gate will be open). Walk in through the open warehouse doors, our volunteer space is in the middle of the warehouse, so keep on walking straight until you see our signs!
Youth Volunteers: All participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. This opportunity is best for adults and children 12+. All volunteers under 18 will need a signed Youth Waiver to participate. Please email volunteer@urbanrecipe.org to receive a copy of the waiver.

If you can no longer attend, please cancel your registration. We have a 2-time no-show policy. If you do not show twice without notice, you will no longer be eligible to serve with Urban
