Participants will help create beautiful spaces for Legacy Park guests while enhancing their own gardening knowledge and connecting with nature. The DeKalb Master Gardeners maintain the grounds and rely on monthly volunteers like you!. Your role: Most tasks will be outdoors and include planting, mulching, and weeding. In the case of inclement weather, the volunteer event will be cancelled. This is an opportunity to spend time outdoors creating and maintaining Legacy Park's greenspace at Moore Chapel. Organized by Legacy Park. Tips: You may arrive at 500 S Columbia Dr, Decatur, GA 30030.
When you arrive, enter through the main entrance with the roundabout and take the first exit on the left. Please park in the parking lot towards the right and walk towards Moore Chapel located on your left. We will meet in front of Moore Chapel.
If you are running late and don't see us at the meeting spot, please give us a call, and we can direct you to us. We will be working outside performing gardening tasks, so please dress in comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes. A refillable water bottle is recommended.
