Volunteers will support us in fulfilling our mission: to partner with our members and supporters in creating food security, while also building community, and providing a platform for personal development while affirming dignity. Your role: Volunteers support our mobile pantry programs and co-op distributions by assembling boxes, filling boxes with groceries, packaging boxes securely for distribution, and assisting in maintaining our inventory, light cleaning, and assorted tasks. Wear: Close-toed shoes (sneakers or boots)! Please dress in clothes you don't mind moving in and are temperature appropriate. We are working in a warehouse and this is a requirement for participation.
Bring: Water! The warehouse gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
Parking: You are welcome to park in the large, gated parking lot located off 970 Jefferson St. NW. The lot is adjacent to our warehouse space, where you will volunteer. Please do not park along the fence, in any undesignated parking spot, or in any space blocked off by cones. This is for the safety of your vehicle just as much as the drivers in our lot! If the lot is full, there is a parking lot across the street on Bedford (Beltline access lot), as well as street parking on Jefferson and Bedford.
Access: Walk in through the open warehouse doors, our volunteer space is in the middle of the warehouse, so keep on walking straight until you see our signs!
Youth Volunteers: All participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. This opportunity is best for adults and children 12+. All volunteers under 18 will need a signed Youth Wa
