F.D. Roosevelt State Park is the largest state park in Georgia at 9,049 acres, encompassing the Pine Mountain Ridge near Warm Springs. The 23-mile Pine Mountain Trail traverses the ridge end-to-end. FDR's warm springs swimming pools are preserved nearby. Dowdell's Knob overlook was FDR's favorite picnic spot with sweeping valley views.
