"Transforming the Beautiful Game: The Clyde Best Story chronicles the journey of Clyde Best, who in 1969 became one of the first Black football stars in England’s modern televised era before rising to prominence in the North American Soccer League. This compelling documentary features rare archival footage from historic matches and offers a deeper look at the intersections of sport, race, and cultural change. Each screening will be followed by a live talkback with Clyde Best and special guests from the film, providing audiences with a unique opportunity to engage directly with the story and its legacy.
