About
Join me for a really nice hike in the Smokies. Ramsey Cascades trail is an out and back hike, 8.4 miles long with 2200 ft of elevation gain. The first half of the trail is all uphill, but it starts gradually and gets steeper as you get closer to the falls. There is a water-crossing right before the falls which makes for a nice cool down after the climb. And then the best part is the falls. Bring your lunch, a cold drink and plan to take pictures. Here you have the makings for a perfect day. Note: Consider hotels reservations as soon as possible . I will share my hotel info after we have the group formed. GSMNP park pass is recommended to buy online in advance or make arrangements to ride with someone who has one. Note: This is a training hike that is scheduled for the day after Mt. Cammerer, a D5 hike. You are not required to do both hikes. Sign up for each hike separately. I hope you will come to the Gatlinburg area a do both hikes with us.
