Birding Focus
: Morgan Falls Overlook Park boasts several habitats, and thus a large variety of birds over the course of the year: mud flats, lake (winter ducks, nesting Bald Eagles), river (Spotted Sandpipers), woodland, and field (sparrows). The walk will involve (possibly wet) grass, stairs, gently sloped pavement, and unpaved trails. We will begin at Overlook Park, then we will walk the road to below Morgan Falls Dam.
Parking
: At the end of Morgan Falls Road, turn RIGHT into the free parking lot at Overlook Park. Restrooms are available at the parking lot.
Directions
: From GA400, take exit 6 (Northridge Road) and go west until Northridge dead ends at Roswell Road. Turn left onto Roswell Road and go 1.2 miles. Turn right onto Morgan Falls Road (light). At the end of Morgan Falls Road, turn right to enter Overlook Park. The group will meet in the parking lot.
This is adult/general outdoor community inventory from Birds Georgia; it is not modeled as kids, storytime, or festival child programming.
