Please join me for a brisk hike on the Yellow Trail at Redtop Mountain State Park. We will meet at Redtop Mountain TRADING POST where the lollipop loop homestead trail (the yellow trail) begins. We will start at the trailhead and travel about one mile through a well worn trail of lush greens. We will then cross over the road and continue onto a 3 mile loop with beautiful views of lake Allatoona. We will do this loop twice, clockwise and counterclockwise (for a total of six miles here) and then head back the last mile to the trading post. There are just a few climbs over 500 feet but our pace is going to be 2.8- 3.0 pace and it is an 8 mile hike so please be aware. The Red Top Mountain trading post is located at 659 Red Top Mountain Road SE, Cartersville, GA. We will leave promptly so please arrive ten minutes earlier for introductions Please Note that there is a $5.00 entry parking fee cover, unless you have the annual GA State parking pass, which can be purchased at the trading post.
