Stone Mountain twice in the morning!

We will be hiking the main trail going to the top of Stone Mountain from the Confederate Hall parking lot and back. Up and back is about two miles. This is a casual and social hike up the mountain, so you can choose your own pace. At the top of the mountain, we will hang out for a few minutes, socialize, take a picture or two, and enjoy the scenic view from the top. What better way to start the morning..a bit of exercise, chat, and chance to be with AOC friends! Hike up and down twice for a great start to the day. This is a great hike for folks who are new to AOC. It is close to town, short, with good elevation and beautiful views! Arrive a few minutes early as we will leave PROMPTLY at 8 am. Additional Notes: 1. Itinerary is subject to change before and during event. 2. Restrooms are available. 3. Free parking is available at MARTA PARK n RIDE parking lot. It is less than a half mile walk to the park and the entrance is near our meeting area. Please take the time to look at the park map and parking options in order to be on time! 4. THE HIKE WILL START FROM THE CONFEDERATE HALL PARKING LOT NEAR THE BATHROOMS AT 8:00 AM. ARRIVE A FEW MINUTES EARLY FOR INTRODUCTIONS.
