The Writer's Den is a welcoming, open space for adult writers of all genres to practice their craft and connect with other creative people. Meeting twice a month, this group is entirely self-led, giving you a quiet place to work on your own, share resources, and network. To keep the room quiet and productive, we ask everyone to follow a few simple rules: keep your cell phone silent, step outside to make phone calls, and use headphones for all audio devices. Please avoid making extra noise unless you are talking with someone during our group discussion times. Because library users come from many different backgrounds and cultures, we make respect and emotional safety a top priority. Please protect your community by focusing our critiques on how a story is written, not on the author's personal beliefs. There is no room here for hate speech or harassment. Ultimately, this group relies on mutual respect, letting you easily switch between writing quietly and getting helpful, inclusive feedback from your peers. Kirkwood Branch hosts this free Fulton County Library event in Atlanta, with 5:30 PM-7:30 PM.
