We will start on the Roswell side where the parking is free, cross the covered bridge and up into the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area Park. We will hike along the creek for a view of the dam and then over to the Oxbo Road bridge. For those unfamiliar with Vickery Creek, the trails become somewhat technical in many places due to erosion that exposes roots and leads to difficult footing. This makes it a bit challenging for newer hikers. Poles are advised for some of the steeper hills. NOTE......This is not a fitness hike but not a stroll either. Faster on the flat and slower on the uphills. Plan is to keep a steady pace stopping once at the bridge on Oxbo Road. There are restrooms at this location. Please arrive a few minutes early to check in as we will leave on time. NOTE...... We are meeting at the covered bridge.
