About
BEGINNING MACHINE SEWING / Hellenne Vermillion Saturdays from 12 - 4 PM September 19th - October 10th 4 Weeks Class Fee: $165 Build your sewing confidence by creating a zippered pouch and a tote bag. In this class, students will explore various fabrics and weights, learn about stitch lengths, and discover useful tips for successful sewing. Please bring a tested, working sewing machine and its manual, if available, as well as bobbins suited to your machine's brand. A supply list is attached. The $20 fee includes materials for both projects and more. You will need an operating sewing machine that turns on, has the plug, a foot, and runs. Look on YouTube for a tutorial video before coming for class. I recommend the Janome basic beginner sewing machines. Supplies: Fabric scissors (Fiskars not Pinking Shears), Thread (in light grey and dark grey(I prefer Gutterman and Mettler), Seam Ripper, Sharp glass head pins (not plastic pins), and Bobbins to match your machine.
