FIGURE DRAWING & PAINTING FOR BEGINNGERS / Jamie Ballay Tuesdays from 10 AM - 1 PM September 15th - November 10th 9 Weeks Class Fee: $240 In this class we will work from both a live model and photo reference, in a variety of situations from nude, partly clothed to maybe some playful costume. Working in charcoal and pastel or water based paint will allow us to focus on quickly creating form and easily explore color. The sessions will begin with a focus on a quick and gestural approach and over the course of the class lead to more developed compositions. Throughout the sessions I will do in-class demonstrations as I feel necessary. Ultimately, I hope this class will explore the portrait as a means of tribute and expression. Because, as both subject and creator we are all unique individuals, no two of us are exactly alike.
