When she was ready for a change, she traded her chef's knife for a mortar and pestle and founded Beautiful Briny Sea , an Atlanta company whose salt blends suggest intriguing backstories, like French Picnic and Hot Steve. Join us at MODA for an evening of tasting, talking, and blending salt with Suzi herself. She'll walk through her path from restaurant life to founding Beautiful Briny Sea, then guide participants through a crash course in how to taste salt with intention, noticing texture, mineral character, and how flavor builds and fades on the tongue. From there, participants will learn the basics of pairing herbs and spices with salt and build their own custom blend to take home.
