About

Come join me for a 5.5-mile moderate pace hike around Historic Roswell and Vickery Creek Trail in Roswell! This is a combination of an urban hike and a hike through the woods! We'll meet at 1 Mill Street and then hike uphill toward downtown Roswell on paved sidewalks. Roswell is known for its charming streets, historic homes, shops, art galleries, and trendy restaurants. We'll then make our way back to Vickery Creek for part two of our hike. The scenic park features a gorgeous waterfall, scenic views of a creek, a covered pedestrian bridge, and historic mill ruins of the Roswell Manufacturing Company (Civil War/1800s era). You'll also enjoy the wooded forest and possible deer sightings! No dogs allowed on this hike. Katherine is the Director of Social Media and Content for the club and will stop at a few spots to take photos of this scenic park -- you have been warned! Important note for first time visitors: The Vickery Creek Trails are part of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area and you can access them from a variety of parking areas. We will meet at the 1 Mill Street trail entrance. It's located at the BOTTOM OF A HILL. Enter the park area where Hwy 9 (S. Atlanta Street) and Hwy 120 (Marietta Hwy.) intersect. Keep driving down the road until you get to the big parking lot at the very bottom of the hill. GPS users may wish to enter the following as your destination: Approximate physical address: 1 Mill Street Roswell, Georgia 30075 There are restrooms at this location and parking is FREE! After the hike, there is an option to meet for coffee/breakfast for more social time! Location TBD *Important note: Katherine will be using private group texts to communicate to members about this event ahead of the hike. By signing up for this event, you agree to this style of communication.*
